I have had a reply from the 3 children’s father Alexander Bogza who said that they are from Moscow & were on holiday in Bulgaria when they threw the bottle in the sea.
He has sent me some photos of the family, but I will not publish them before obtaining permission from Alexander.
Here is Alexander’s Email.
WOW!
That was the first word that my children said when I read them your letter.
Unbelievable! We sent this letter from Bulgaria and it has been traveling for a year!!!
Miles and miles! We even couldn’t imagine that it would be received!
Actually we are from Moscow (Russia). It was our family holiday in Bulgaria in summer 2014.
We are sending two photos to you, in the first our family is on the Bulgaria beach, and in the second our children nowadays.
We have small presents for you from our children 😉
We can send them if you write your post address 😉

Message in a Bottle.
Labrador cross, Sheba whose favourite exercise is retrieving plastic bottles thrown for her by me or my wife Paula from out of the sea off Weymouth Beach spotted a bottle bobbing up and down in the surf.
She dived into the water swam out to the bottle and dragged into the shallows near the Pier Bandsand from where I waded out and picked it up.
On inspection the bottle contained a message from three children Maxim, Sophie and Polina who had thrown it into the water at the Black Sea resort of Lozenets Bulgaria in July 2014.
The bottle travelled from the Black Sea through Bosphorus Strait across the Mediterranean out through the Straits of Gibraltar into the Atlantic across the Bay of Biscay up the English Channel and then into Weymouth Bay in 14 months.
I have emailed the family and I am eagerly awaiting their reply.

It’s all double Dutch to me, but thanks for the info.
if you search for that email on facebook you will find the profile of a guy from moscow, russia and he has a wife and three kids, 2 girls and 1 boy, which matches the letter in the bottle. They probably went to Bulgaria on vacation and that is why the bottle was released there.
I have been in touch with Alexander & his family on Skype they are wonderful people.
Amazing story! Great dog! Read it just recently. We’ve been discussing few weeks ago how one would feel to find a message in a bottle in these harsh IT times. and here it comes. This made my day. Such a nice situation.
Please take very good care of the dog and yourself and watch for other treasures.
