Dorchester failed to end their season on a high losing at home by 4 goals to nil against Southern Premier League runners up AFC Totton. 

However, finishing in 9th place in the league table it was the Magpies best league finish for 11 years. 

Bridport moved in to second place in the Southwest Peninsular League East following their 6 goals to 2 win at St Mary’s over league basement club Dartmouth. 

Kieran Daniel netted twice for the Bees with Luke King, Fred Parsons, Sol Ayunga  and Darren Lock all adding a goal each. 

For the Bees to hold on to the runners up place they must win their remaining fixture on Tuesday evening away against Axminster or they could be overtaken by any of the 3 clubs below them which includes Axminster. 

Oliver Haste was voted as player of the season by the Dorchester fans, with Shaquille Gwengwe winning the Golden Boot award for scoring 17 goals for the Magpies,

On Sunday Bridport Ladies team won at home against Wincanton Ladies by 7 goals to 2. The Bees’ Ladies scorers were Aleeshea Rowland with a pair and a goal each from Holly Perryment, Florence Valinski, Lucy Paull and Clare Darby who also netted twice. 

Weymouth’s women’s team played away at Purton and drew 1 goal each Emily Screen scoring the Terras’ Ladies goal and their development side lost 5 nil at Longfleet.

Also on Sunday Weymouth Under 18 squad beat their Portland counterparts by 3 goals to 1 at the Bob Lucas Stadium. 

The Dorset & Wilts Women’s team beat the Pacific Islanders Women in the RFU Jill Burns cup by 58 points to 12 at Devizes on Saturday. 

In the Dorset Premier Football League Wimborne Reserves ran out 9 goals to nil winners at Weymouth College against Balti Sports.
