On Saturday Mark Molesley takes over at the helm of Weymouth Football Club’s senior men’s team for the second time in his sporting career following his introduction to the Terras’ fans before the Yeovil game at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Easter Monday. 

Molesley first signed on as Weymouth manager for the first time in April 2017 while he was on the coaching staff at Premier League club Bournemouth working under Eddie Howe and held both positions for until his exit from the Terras in 2020. 

Under his guidance Weymouth won 2 promotions from the Southern Premier League into the National League South and into the National Premier League before Molesley moved on to Division 2 club Southend. 

Weymouth visit Priory Lane to meet Eastbourne Borough for a National League South fixture.

Ironically Dorchester take the road to The SkyEx Community Stadium to play Hayes & Yeading the side that Molesley exited last week to join Weymouth for a Southern Premier League game. 

In the Wessex Premier League Portland head to the Southdown Builder’s Stadium to play Petersfield while Bridport will be keeping their fingers crossed that the weather conditions do not force another postponement at St Mary’s where the Bees are schedule to play Sidmouth Town for a Southwest Peninsular League South fixture. 

The Tribute Counties League rugby competition comes draws to a close this weekend with Weymouth & Portland playing Avonvale at Monmouth Avenue, and Dorchester travelling the Bestwall Park to lock horns with Swanage & Wareham.

 

In the Tribute Dorset & Wilts Leagues Bridport entertain Ellingham second team at Brewery Fields, Blandford play hosts to Wimborne a xv and Puddletown play Oakmeadians second team at Greenfields.

On Sunday Bridport Women’s team play at home against Berrow Ladies kicking off at 2 00pm.
