Terras interim manager Jason Matthews.

It’s a baptism of fire this Easter weekend for Weymouth Football Club’s interim management team of Jason Matthews manager and his assistant Josh McQuoid.

On Good Friday they travel to play Bath City and then on Easter Monday the Terras host National League South league leaders Yeovil Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium with the match starting at 1 00pm.

The partnership took over in midweek following the surprise departure of previous manager Bobby Wilkinson and his backroom staff.

Former Terras’ manager Mark Molesley who has stepped down as Hayes & Yeading manager and is rumoured to be linked with the Terras vacant manager’s position.

Also on Friday Bridport were scheduled to visit Axminster for a Southwest Peninsular East league fixture, however the game has been postponed as the pitch is waterlogged.

On Saturday Dorchester visit Winchester City in the Southern Premier League and in the Wessex Premier League Portland United take the road to Raleigh Grove to play Sherborne.

Dorchester are back in action at the Avenue Stadium on Monday where they play Tiverton and Bridport play at St. Mary’s against visitors Torrington with the match kicking off at 2 00pm.

There are no local Tribute League rugby fixtures this weekend.

On Tuesday evening Portland United play their 3rd game inside 6 days when they host Shaftsbury at Grove Corner with that game kicking off at 7 45 in the evening.

The weather conditions will be a big factor on the weekend’s sporting events going ahead.

After our biggest trial turn out yet, we are super excited to announce this year squad. With the skill level and determination shown by these players, we know we are going into the Gill Burns Cup strong 💪

Congratulations and let’s go Ladies!!
