Weymouth Football Club’s senior men’s team host Torquay United on Saturday for a National League South fixture. 

The Gulls manager Gary Johnson has exited the club since it made aware that it intends to call in the administrator’s with Aaron Downes stepping in to manage the team. 

The Terras currently sit in 17th place in the league table, 6 places below the Gulls, so with the home advantage the result could go either way.

Weymouth Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of Bristol City goalkeeper Harvey Wiles-Richards.

Harvey joins the team on loan from Championship side Bristol City. Bringing exciting knowledge and first-team experience to the squad.

Harvey has met up with his team-mates and will be in contention for the squad this weekend.

In the Southern Premier League Dorchester will not make their way to the Imperial Home Stadium to play Sholing following their amazing come back on Wednesday evening at Totton where the Magpies scored 4 second half goals to eventually level to score 4 all and secure a point when the game looked lost at half time as the Sholing pitch is waterlogged so the game will have to be re-scheduled for later in the season. 

The Polish Eagle Olaf Koszela opened the scoring for the Magpies at Totton..

Shaquille Gwengwe also netted in the Magpies amazing second half comeback at Totton.

Portland United visit the Wicore Rec to play AFC Portchester for a Wessex League match and Bridport’s

match at St. Mary’s against Honiton has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. 

On Sunday the Bees ladies squad play Asthon ladies at home with that game kicking off at 2 00pm. 

In the local rugby Weymouth & Portland play Frome at Monmouth Avenue, Dorchester lock horns with Combe Down at Coburg Road and Swanage & Wareham travel to Avonvale all in the Tribute Southern Counties Division.

The Seahorses head coach Rich Bament said, ” I don’t intend to make wholesale changes to the squad that lost at Walcot a couple of weeks ago as I do not think the final score reflected on the team’s overall performance”.

Dorchester have two players representing the rugby club in the Dorset & Wilts Under 20 County squad that play Oxfordshire Under 20 in the RFU County Under 20 championship at Coburg Road on Sunday afternoon next week the 10th of March kick off 2 00pm.
