The Rebels are currently in second place in the league table and have won 4 and drawn 1 in their last 5 outings, but apart from a hick up last time out at Chelmsford where Weymouth went down by a goal to nil the Terras seemed to have turned the corner and put 4 victories on the spin together so it should be close and difficult to predict the eventual outcome of this contest.
There is still ample time for 20th placed Dorchester to pull clear of the Southern Premier League table drop zone, but the 3 clubs above them all have games in hand over the Magpies who visit Bracknell on Saturday.
Portland United, who were inactive last weekend, entertain AFC Stoneham at Grove Corner for a Wessex League fixture while in the Southwest Peninsular East Bridport’s game against Ivybridge Town at St. Mary’s is off due to the state of the pitch following the recent rainfall.
The Bees who progressed into the semifinals of the League Cup last Saturday following a penalty shoot-out in Newquay will play Oakhampton at Cullompton Football Club on March the 12th kicking off at 7 30pm.
In the local rugby Tribute Southern Counties League Weymouth & Portland travel to Walcot, Dorchester take the road to Frome and Swanage & Wareham entertain Yeovil at Bestwall Park.
In the Tribute Dorset & Wilts leagues, Bridport visit East Dorset Dockers, Blandford play away against Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew and Puddletown host Salisbury 3rds at Greenfields.
On Sunday Bridport Ladies are away against Pen Mill Ladies with the game kicking off at 2 00pm.
