The Terras are in 19th place in the league table, 10 places below their guests who have won 4 out of their last 5 matches so 3 league points would be very welcome to see Weymouth move further away from the drop zone.

Dorchester entertain Southern Premier League promotion chasers Merthyr Town at the Avenue Stadium and the Magpies and must hope to follow up last week’s 2 nil victory at Harrow Borough with another 3 points and put a run of wins together to move them out of the league’s relegation places. 

In the Wessex League Portland United play visitors Hamble at Grove corner while in the Southwest Peninsular League East Bridport play hosts to Elburton Villa at St. Mary’s and will have new signings central defender Aiden Partridge and Toby Diaz in their squad with that game kicking off at 2 15pm. 

In the local rugby Tribute Southern Counties League Weymouth & Portland play Combe Down away in a match that was held over from a couple of weeks ago when the pitch was unplayable and in the Tribute Dorset & Wilts league Bridport welcome Oakmeadians at the Brewery Field.   

Also, on Saturday the Dorset and Wilts County women’s management hold their first training and selection session of the season at Warminster Rugby Club starting at 9 00am.

On Sunday Weymouth Football Club’s ladies team travel to Sherborne in the County Cup while the development squad are in action at Redlands against Bournemouth Manor.

Bridport women visit Wincanton and the Dorset & Wilts Under 20 men’s rugby squad play Berkshire Under 20 at Marlborough with Dorchester Rugby Club’s Sam Lambourn in the squad.
