Weymouth Football Club’s senior men’s team entertain Eastbourne Borough in a National League South game at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday where Brighton & Hove Albion Premier League Club goalkeeper Hugo Fisher will start his loan period with the Terras. 

In the Southern Premier League Dorchester have Exeter loanees Ed James and Pedro Borges available for selection for their trip to Hendon. 

Goalkeeper Lloyd Thomas has exited the Magpies since the signing of Adam Forster.  

Portland United manager Kyle Critchell plans to extend the Blues winning run to 8 victories on the spin at Torpoint in a Isuzu FA Vase tie.

On Sunday the Terras women’s team host local rivals Ridgeway Ladies at the Bob Lucas Stadium with the game kicking off at 2 00pm and Bridport Ladies entertain Crewkerne Rangers at St Mary’s with that match also starting at 2 00pm. 

In the local rugby, Tribute Southern Counties League Weymouth & Portland travel over the Ridgeway to Coburg Road to lock horns with Dorchester. It will be a return for the Seahorses head coach Rich Bament who played most of his rugby for the County Town.

In the same division Swanage & Wareham are visited by Walcot. 

In the Tribute Dorset & Wilts leagues Blandford visit Lytchett Minster, Bridport take the road to Wimborne to play the club’s second xv and Puddletown are away against Bournemouth 3rd team.

On Sunday Weymouth & Portland’s women’s team face their first game since they newly reformed in mid-summer.  

The squad has a mix of newcomers and some more experienced players to help guide and coach them through their first development game, away to Yeovil Barbarians. 

Some friendly faces of friends, family and anyone who wishes to support the ladies would be well received if you have a few hours free in the afternoon.
