Local football.

In the National League South Weymouth Senior Men’s team entertain Tonbridge Angels at the Bob Lucas Stadium while at Grove Corner Portland host Blackfield & Langley for a Wessex League game.

Dorchester have no game as their scheduled opponents Bracknell Town are involved in a FA Cup tie. 

Bridport currently holding on to second place in the Southwest Peninsular League East and who drew 1-1 at Honiton in mid-week with a 98th minute equaliser from Fred Parsons have been awarded a walkover Torridgeside who are unable to raise a side for the League Cup competition on Saturday.

In the local rugby Tribute Southern Counties League Weymouth & Portland play hosts to close neighbours Swanage & Wareham at Monmouth Avenue and will have their iconic prop forward Tim “Yogi” Comben back in the side following his muscle injury and in the same division Dorchester travel to Corsham.

Also on Sunday Weymouth & Portland Lions Club and Purbeck Motocross Club will be teaming up again to bring you this high-flying motocross extravaganza starting at 11 00am.

The event will once again see the award winning pristine sands of Weymouth Beach transformed into a motocross course, complete with bumps and jumps and all the thrills and spills of the race.

This event attracts thousands of spectators and some of the best riders in the world. Together with riders of all abilities, a superb location and setting, combine to make this event one of the most sought after and most eagerly awaited event on Weymouth’s tourist calendar.

As well as the races the seafront will be full of traders selling their wares, Children’s rides and delicious food stalls to tickle everyone’s taste buds.
