Weekend Sports Preview:

Keep Radio 106.3 FM Local Sports Bulletin 5 40 pm on Robbie Mott’s Drive Time afternoon show, Monday & Friday.

All of our big four football clubs are at home this weekend, Weymouth Senior Men’s team entertain Chelmsford City in a National League South clash while in the Southern Premier League Dorchester’s men play hosts to visitors Chesham at the Avenue Stadium.

The Fa Vase raises its head at both Grove Corner where Portland United welcome United Services Portsmouth and at St Mary’s where high-flying Bridport play against visitors Hamble.

Weymouth manager Bobby Wilkinson singled out Brandon Goodship this week, he said that the former Southend striker deserved massive credit for his professionalism behind the scenes.

The Terras will go into the game looking to continue their fine early season form after overcoming a stubborn Hemel Hempstead 2-1 last time out, thanks to a late goal from returning striker Tom Stagg.

Chelmsford will be no pushovers having won 2 and drew 2 in their first 4 games and will be looking to keep their early season momentum going after narrowly missing out in the playoffs last season.

Weymouth will continue to assess the injuries of Jordan Thompson, Max Hemmings and Tyrique Clarke, but do welcome back Tom Stagg properly after his very late call-up to last week’s matchday squad.

Nahum Melvin-Lambert and Calvin Brooks will look to get back into the squad after narrowly missing out last week.

We will have our Man at the Match who will give us his observations and opinions after the final whistle.
