Weymouth Football club’s senior men’s team manager Bobby Wilkinson said after their home 1 all draw on Tuesday evening against visitors Taunton, “We had a brilliant first half, we had to score a second or third goal. They soaked up a lot of pressure, but that’s football.

“You’ve got to be clinical when you’re on top, but I have to say, I am immensely proud of the lads.

“When they scored their goal, it swung momentum and looked like they were going to go on and win it.

“I made tactical changes to put Taunton on the back foot. I thought we were going to win it in the last 15 minutes. The boys put in another good shift.

“It’s two points dropped but then a great point won at the same time.”

The Terras who are currently in 12th place in the National League South with a record of, played 3. won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1 and with a total of 4 points, visit the team 4 league places above them Hemel Hempstead on Saturday.

Dorchester manager Glenn Howes far from impressed with his team’s performance against Winchester.

In the Wessex League Portland United entertain Baffin’s Milton Rovers at Grove Corner following their goalless draw away at Shaftsbury on Tuesday evening a performance that manager Kyle Critchell said’ “Shaftsbury are hoping to either win the league or at least get promoted this season. That is not necessarily our objective, so to go there and not concede and then put in the performance we did was huge plus our lads”.
