Weymouth and Portland’s Dorset & Wilts division one league record this season reads played two, won one, lost one, but it’s Dorset and Wilts Knockout Vase action on Saturday (24/09/2016) when they welcome Melksham to Monmouth Avenue with the game kicking off at 3.00pm.

Flanker Tom Drummond, brothers, lock forward Kevin and utility forward John Leatham and utility back Rob Smith all return to the squad.

Skipper Ryan Lewenden said: “We haven’t played Melksham for a few years so we really don’t know what to expect from them so we must make the best of our home advantage if we are to progress into the quarter finals”.

“I would like to welcome our former captain Kevin Leatham back into the side for the first time this season”

The Seasiders AXV have no game this weekend and get a bye into the quarter final of the Dorset and Wilts second team Shield that takes place on Saturday the 3rd of December when they will go head to head with Dorchester second team also at Monmouth Avenue.
